COVID-19 Response
A message from our Pelekikena,
Aloha,
There have been a lot of changes to our calendar in the last few weeks. We will arrange a special Board Meeting to review this year’s calendar of events to align with CDC guidelines in order to keep our hui safe. To give us time to plan and make some difficult decisions, we will not have any gatherings from Sunday, March 15 through Sunday, March 22. That means that we will NOT have a Papa Oli a me ka Pa`i on Tuesday, March 17 or Hula Practice on Thursday, March 19 or the General Meeting/Movie Night on March 22.
Additionally, our participation in the upcoming events listed below is also affected as they have been canceled by their organizers. For more information, please contact the event coordinator:
- `AOKHCC – St. Francis Home & Catered Manor Performances
- `Ahahui Kiwila Hawai`i o San Diego – Prince Kuhio Day Celebration and Scholarship Luau
- `AOKHCC – Kapa`a Band Chili Lunch
- Aquarium of the Pacific – International Children’s Festival
- Waipuna Performance at the Shannon Theater at Whittier College
- HICCSC – Ho`olaulea, Alondra Park
- `AOKHCC – Annual Scholarship Aha`aina

Update 4/22/20: Most events for April and May have been cancelled so people can stay at home as much as possible. The website calendar has been updated with these changes.
Update 6/28/20: We will continue follow California State guidelines for distancing and safety concerns.
